In honor of Autism Awareness month, I'm reading Glen Finland's memoir, Next Stop. The author writes of her desperate attempts to help her 21-year-old autistic son find his way in the world. This week I'll be discussing the book online with a group of friends (and a friend-of-a-friend). All of these women have direct experience with autistic young adults, and I can't wait to hear all that they have to say about this memoir.
We're having our discussion in a private Facebook group, and I will post the highlights once we've all had a chance to finish the book and complete our discussion. If you are reading the book or raising an autistic child and would like to join the discussion, email me at worducopia-at-gmail-dot-com and I would be glad to add you to the group. We'll be discussion it throughout the next week. Or, of course, you can also wait until I post the highlights of the discussion and add your two cents to the comments.
